A typical day at Leuchie
While every day is different at Leuchie, if you’ve never stayed with us before here’s an idea of what you can expect on a typical day.
Rise and shine
Whether you’re an early riser or like to take your time in the morning, our care team will be on hand to give you all the help you need to get ready for the day ahead.
Then it’s off to our lovely dining room for breakfast. There’s always a choice on the menu, new friends to chat to and help from our friendly breakfast team. Or you could have breakfast in your room if you’d prefer.
If you’re having a day at Leuchie House, our guest engagement team will have organised a morning activity. It could be a group exercise class, or arts and crafts, or indoor games – every day is different!
If you’re going on an outing, you’ll usually get ready to go after breakfast. You’ll travel in one of our accessible vehicles and have the support of an experienced care assistant throughout your trip.
After a home cooked lunch in the dining room, it’s time for our afternoon activity. It might be a stroll in the grounds, or our own version of Desert Island Discs, or a chance to try ice-cream making – no two days are the same.
You may have booked one of our therapies or beauty treatments, you could have a reflexology treatment, or get your hair or nails done. Or maybe you’ll just relax in our summer house and watch the Leuchie wildlife. It’s entirely up to you!
Dinner is served at 5.30pm and is the perfect time to catch up with other guests and share your stories from the day.
Then it’s time for our evening entertainment. It could be live music, a quiz night or a film evening. There will always be a great variety of things going on throughout your stay.
Time for bed
Whether you’re a night owl or like to be tucked up early, we’ll make sure you have all the support you need to get to bed when you like to go. That way, you’ll be rested and ready to do it all again the next day!
