Katie

Katie is our Occupational Therapist, here at Leuchie.

Each holiday Katie will host a 'Show and tell group' and discuss all the latest independent living equipment designed to help to assist individual needs. If a guest feels like some equipment would benefit them then they are able to trial equipment before they buy them. Small items can be purchased directly from our Leuchie therapy shop.

Katie can also arrange 1-2-1 baking/cooking sessions in the adapted kitchen. This can be done using adapted equipment to help the guest be as independent as possible.

Speak to Katie about transfers, anxiety management, sleep advice and liason with social support groups available.

Katie worked at Leuchie house as a Care assistant before qualifying as an OT in 2015 and spent 8 years working on an acute mental health ward before coming back to Leuchie as an OT.

Katie lives with her husband, two children and a very cute Cockapoo called Pippa!
