Charity Christmas Trees
This Christmas give the gift of respite by purchasing your Christmas Tree from Leuchie House. By doing so you will be making a BIG difference to the lives of people living with longterm conditions such as MS, MND, Parkinsons and other neurological conditions.
Since March this year X amounts of days of respite have been lost at Leuchie due to the pandemic as we had to close our services to our guests. Due to this our guests went into shielding and many of them received reduced care packages in the height of the crisis putting extra stress and pressure on their families and loved ones to provide the majority of care required. In Scotland alone the amount of unpaid carers increased from 759,000 to about 1.1 million since the start of the pandemic.
Breaks from caring are critical for those affected by MS and other long term conditions. With your support, our short breaks can transform lives through guest-centred care, offering independence coupled with expert care and support.
We are offering freshly cut, premium Normand Firs grown in West Lothian on sustainable tree farms. This is the most popular Christmas tree in the UK and it is easy to why with their classic Christmas tree shape, excellent needle retention and soft, long, dark green needles. During the growing process each tree is pruned annually by hand to maintain its shape and improve density.
The trees are available in 4 sizes and will be available for collection ONLY from Leuchie House on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th of December. Please note we have a limited amount of each size of tree.
How do I order?
To order your Christmas tree please download and fill in our order form and email Kcampbell@leuchiehouse.org.uk . You will be sent a confirmation along with the ways to pay and unique booking reference to quote. The deadline for placing your order is Friday 29th November.
How do I make payment?
Once you have your unique booking reference you can pay via bank transfer or via Ticket tailor. We will not be excepting any cash payments on the day.
When can I collect?
The dates for collection are Saturday 5th December or Sunday 6th December. Please note our trees are for collection only and delivery is not available. Once payment is confirmed you will be allocated a 1 hour time slot in which your tree should be collected. Unfortunately, we cannot offer an earlier collection date as our trees are cut freshly and as close to delivery date as possible.
Can I purchase a tree on the day?
We are only operating a pre order service for trees this year, to enable us to ensure we order the correct amount from the tree farm. Therefor we cannot guarantee their will be any surplus on the day.
Do I have to bring my email confirmation on the day?
Yes our lovely volunteers will require your booking confirmation to ensure you are provided with the correct tree. You can show this to our team as either a printed out copy or on your phone.
What kind of tree stand do I need?
Your cut tree needs water to stay green for a longer duration and ensure maximum needle retention throughout the festive period, therefore you will require a stand that can hold water. Example https://www.amazon.co.uk/CHRISTMAS-TREE-STAND-Classic-Holding/dp/B005NPF50M
