Captain Paul Du Vivier

What's your day job?

Retired since 2009.
1995-2009: Chief Executive, Scottish Fisheries Protection Agency
1964-1995: Royal Navy, retiring as Captain

When did you become a Leuchie trustee?

Why did you decide to become involved with Leuchie?
I was prompted to do so, and for the opportunity to serve a very good local cause.

What do you do as a Leuchie trustee?
I am Vice Chair of the Board, involved in the nominations committee, and with raising funds.

What do you get out of it?
I enjoy being part of such a dedicated team.

Tell us one thing about you that we probably wouldn't expect:
I am the direct descendant of a Belgian General, Matthieu Brialmont, who fought in Napolean's Army at the Battle of Borodino in 1812.

If you could invite someone to Leuchie for afternoon tea, who would it be and why?
My GP son-in-law - to spread the word about Leuchie in the medical profession.

If you could wave a magic wand, what would the Leuchie of the future be like?
A purpose-built establishment set in lovely tranquil grounds (like the present Leuchie) providing a 5 star experience for those with disabilities and carers (as a present) with the benefit of a sound financial base (ie always in the black!).
